On the other hand, results haven't been so positive as I wished, but also not so negative, therefore we won't repeat the activity.

3. Algunas palabras no cambian, son iguales en masculino y en femenino.

Como ya sabéis en español hay dos géneros: masculino y femenino.

Y hay cuatro artículos determinados que significan "the": el, la, los, las.
And there are four definite articles which mean "the": el, la, los, las.
Hemos aprendido a usar el diccionario cuando no sabemos el género de una palabra y, por tanto, no sabemos que artículo utilizar.
We learnt how to use the dictionary when we don't know the genre of one word, so we don't know what article to use.

En español las palabras pueden ser masculinas o femeninas.
In Spanish words can be masculine (male) or feminine (female).
Además en español tenemos artículos, como en inglés, alemán, francés y otras lenguas.
In Spanish we also have articles, like in English, German, French and some other languages.
En letón, ruso, tailandés, chino, japonés... no existen los artículos.
In Latvian, Russian, Thai, Chinese, Japanese... articles don't exist.
En inglés es muy fácil, tenemos el artículo THE.
In English it is really easy, we have the article THE.
Pero en español tenemos cuatro artículos.
But in Spanish we have four articles.
EL - masculino singular. > el libro, el ordenador, el cuaderno... LA - femenino singular. > la mesa, la libreta, la puerta... LOS - masculino plural. > los alumnos, los amigos, los bolígrafos... LAS - femenino plural. > las sillas, las pizarras, las profesoras...
Lamentablemente, no tenemos reglas para saber el género de todas las palabras. Tenemos sólo algunas reglas generales, pero hay muchas excepciones.
Sadly, we don't have rules to know the genre of all words. We have some general rules, but there are many exceptions.
Aquí tenéis las reglas generales. Tenemos que prestar atención a la terminación de las palabras.
